About William C. Hurley

William C. Hurley is a trusted legal professional in Michigan with over 45 years of experience.  After graduating from Wayne State University Law School in 1979, Bill began his career as a trial lawyer, specializing in defending medical professionals in complex litigation.  Over the years, he has gained a strong reputation for his expertise, professionalism, and ability to secure favorable outcomes for his clients.

In his career, Bill has served as a shareholder and director at two respected and successful law firms, building a wealth of knowledge in civil litigation and medical malpractice.  In 2022, he pivoted his focus to alternative dispute resolution (ADR), committing his practice to helping litigants navigate and resolve disputes through facilitative mediation and arbitration.

Bill’s expertise is rooted in his extensive legal background, which has led him to mediate and arbitrate hundreds of disputes, helping parties find mutually agreeable solutions.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), both of which are invitation-only organizations for trial lawyers at the top of the profession.

In addition to his role as a mediator and arbitrator, Bill has been honored with several accolades, including the Civility Award from the Michigan Chapter of ABOTA and recognition as a Distinguished Alumnus by Wayne State University.  His dedication to professionalism and fairness in the legal community is evident in his practice and his ongoing efforts to foster respectful and effective dispute resolution.
